Requirements and responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Installation, configuration, and day-to-day administration of MT4 servers and related components (MT4 Server, Manager, Gateway, Datafeed, etc.)
- Management of remote hosting environments (VPS/DS, cloud, or data center infrastructure)
- Monitoring system availability and performance, investigating incidents, and resolving issues promptly
- Setting up and regularly testing backup and restore processes
- Operating system–level administration (Windows Server/Linux, depending on the existing environment)
- Basic network-level configurations (VPN, firewall, routing, ports, DNS, etc.)
- Implementation of security measures (access control, hardening, logging, audit trails)
- Liaising with vendors: coordinating with the MT4 vendor, liquidity/bridge providers, hosting/data center teams, ISPs, etc.
- Managing updates, patch management, scheduled maintenance, and change control
- Technical documentation: architecture descriptions, runbooks, incident records, and change logs
Requirements:
- Minimum 1+ year of experience in system administration (preferred: financial/fintech environment)
- Practical experience with the MT4 environment (installation, support, troubleshooting) — an advantage
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server administration (knowledge of Active Directory is a plus)
- Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, VPN, firewall, NAT, DNS, SSL certificates
- Experience with monitoring and log analysis tools (Zabbix, Prometheus, ELK, or equivalents accepted)
- Ability to communicate and coordinate with vendors technically (Russian/English language skills are a plus)
- Documentation skills and disciplined operational approach (ITIL mindset is a plus)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Forex/CFD broker infrastructure or trading platforms
- SQL (basic queries, troubleshooting)
- DR/BCP approaches, HA/Failover concepts
- Experience with virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) or cloud (AWS/Azure)
